OMARA was selected for the preconstruction and construction phases of this project, which involved
the relocation of all CIBC World Markets employees from 300 Madison to 425 Lexington Ave, and the simultaneous restack of office spaces at 425 Lexington Ave.
During the preconstruction phase, OMARA worked closely with CIBC’s project team to develop alternate solutions to the rapidly changing design parameters. Detailed cost estimates and phasing schedules
were created and modified for the various scenarios requested.
As the fast-track construction began, CIBC’s requirements changed yet again, and budgets, subcontracts, schedules and construction plans were adjusted “on the fly”, so that the project milestone dates would still
be met. As a result, CIBC successfully met their commitments to move from 300 Madison Avenue.
The project was a complete success, and OMARA’s relationship with CIBC World Markets, which dates
back to 1997, continues to this day.
