OMARA was hired shortly after Fahnestock’s acquisition of CIBC’s Oppenheimer division, and began at once working with the new Oppenheimer team to transform the acquired spaces at 200 Park Avenue.  Having enjoyed a solid relationship with CIBC Oppenheimer for many years, OMARA was excited to successfully make the transition and work with the new ownership.

Taking the lead as the construction manager, OMARA led the space planning, phasing logistics and value engineering efforts that were necessary to get this fast-track project off the boards and into full construction.  By re-using of as much existing infrastructure as possible, we were able to meet aggressive schedules and accommodate the tight budget constraints.

OMARA’s challenge was to expedite the work in areas that need to remain occupied, while ensuring that the employees remained safe and productive.  Having had years of experience with construction in occupied spaces, OMARA was well-suited to the task, and the work flowed smoothly.

OMARA’s relationship with Oppenheimer dates back to 1994, when we became the in-house construction manager for them at the World Financial Center.  Since that time, we have performed over $35,000,000 worth of construction for Oppenheimer in seven different NYC spaces, as well as acting as Oppenheimer’s Owner’s Representative for dozens of projects nationwide.
