When John Varvatos, GQ Magazine’s “Designer of the Year” leased the historic and abandoned CBGB’s night club at 315 Bowery, he set an aggressive 6-week schedule.

Working daily with Loffredo Brooks Architects, OMARA performed a top-to-bottom renovation and restoration of the rock-n-roll landmark, creating a high-end retail boutique, while preserving the historic feeling the original CBGB’s.

Though the challenges were many: from the rotted floor joists to the antiquated HVAC system and “downright scary” basement, OMARA and the Loffredo Brooks Team lead the effort to an extremely successful project.
