When OMARA’s long time client, Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, was ready to relocate its entire operation to the World Financial Center, its major challenge was finding a way to control the costs. CWT hired OMARA to provide independent budget oversight and value engineering advice for their $70 Million expenditure. With a relationship spanning over 20 years, OMARA fully understood what CWT’s needs and priorities were, and was able to provide invaluable guidance to the client and its design team.

During the early stages, OMARA provided conceptual budgets for all soft, hard and FF&E costs. As the design was developing, OMARA’s budgeting and value engineering analysis helped CWT make the necessary major decisions needed to keep moving forward.  Ultimately, the OMARA budget saved CWT many million of dollars by identifying areas where more cost-effective solutions could be implemented.

From the concept to the close-out, OMARA reviewed every contractor and vendor purchase, every claim and every payment on a very successful project, and the special relationship between CWT and OMARA continues to this day.
